What Is the Ambrotose AO Product?
Mannatech’s Ambrotose AO capsules contain a synergistic blend (MTech AO® blend) of carefully selected plant extracts and antioxidant compounds, along with vitamins C and E and a number of fruit and vegetable powders, which together can help protect the body’s cells from damage due to the stresses of modern life.* Mannatech’s MTech AO blend includes the potent antioxidant quercetin and natural sources of additional powerful antioxidants, including grape skin extract, green tea and Australian bush plum.* Ambrotose AO capsules, which also contain an Ambrotose® blend specifically formulated for this product, are not a substitute for Mannatech’s Ambrotose® complex or Advanced Ambrotose® products.
How do Ambrotose AO Capsules Work?
Every day, our bodies are exposed to harmful toxins, ultraviolet (UV) light and other environmental and dietary stressors, which can produce free radicals that may damage our DNA, cells and tissues. Antioxidants help to reduce the amount of free radicals and the oxidative stress that can damage or even kill cells. In addition to providing antioxidant support, many of the nutrients in Ambrotose AO capsules have been shown to promote a healthy immune system.*
Why are Ambrotose AO Capsules Superior to Other Antioxidant Dietary Supplements?
The antioxidant activities of foods, beverages and dietary supplements can be measured using the oxygen radical absorbance capacity (ORAC) method. Most antioxidant supplements rely on ORAC values of the actual products themselves, which may or may not give an accurate indication of their antioxidant activity in the body. Believed to be a more biologically meaningful approach, the serum ORAC method is used to measure the blood’s ability to quench free radicals.
Mannatech scientists conducted a small, open label, clinical study of healthy subjects consuming one to three Ambrotose AO capsules for 2 weeks that resulted in an increase in serum ORAC levels of up to 37.4% (1).* This is a two-fold increase in serum ORAC levels compared to the effects seen after consuming 5 additional servings of fruit and vegetables per day (2). A second, Mannatech funded, clinical study has been submitted for publication which demonstrates similar changes in serum ORAC levels with Ambrotose AO supplementation over five weeks, as well as some additional effects on immune function.* Comparison between Ambrotose AO capsules and a number of well-known antioxidant foods and other commercial products demonstrates that AO’s effect on human serum ORAC levels is greater than those seen with spinach, vitamin C, wild blueberry powder, strawberries, concord grape juice, buckwheat honey or MonaVie Active (see below). These results demonstrate that the antioxidants in Ambrotose AO capsules provide the best antioxidant protection available today.*
What Safety Information Is Available for Ambrotose AO Capsules?
The ingredients of this product have been traditionally consumed as either foods (e.g., fruits and vegetables), nutrients in food (e.g., mixed tocopherols), widely used dietary supplements (e.g., aloe vera) or regulated food additives (e.g., gum ghatti, gum tragacanth). Thus, there are no known health risks associated with the consumption of this product. No adverse side effects were seen in clinical studies of Ambrotose AO (1). Over 2 million units have been sold since the product’s introduction in 2003. Mannatech’s Product Safety Monitoring Program continues to document that Ambrotose AO capsules are safe for daily consumption. In addition, Ambrotose AO capsules are NSF Certified, gluten-free and suitable for vegetarians.

Doug,
Simply put, all network marketing companies are HIGH QUALITY.
Different people are in each company.
These doctors and scientist have done THEIR BEST. They have a lot of experience and have put a lot of time into what they have focused on.
There are MANY SUPERFOODS.
According to Nicholas Perricone’s book Perricone Promise, He listed ACAI as the #1 superfruit to consume to improve your skin. He is a dermatologist.
Everyone who tries these products, whomever you represent, have a product experience. Some people have zero effect, that is noticeable. Have you had that same experience? The reason is that these products, whether they are juices, extracts, pills, or other things, happen to work at the cellular level.
I have a friend who left a six-figure income to promote another company called Genewize and she now helps people with DNA CUSTOMIZED supplements and skincare specially formulated for your specific genetic flaws.
Acai and the ORAC scores that are listed on the INTERNET, vary.
The authority on ACAI is Dr. Alexander Schauss.
His clinical studies can be found at
http://aibmr.com/
You may research this if you are interested.
I have read the studies. They have not been refuted. I have met Alexander Schauss and Dr. Bernie Landis and respect the panel on the MONAVIE SCIENTIFIC ADVISORY BOARD.
You can view who the experts are at

Penny Kris-Etherton, developed the Food Pyramid.
Attend the International Convention to hear from the doctors and the founders.
Don’t take my word for it.
There are many great companies out there!
Everyone needs a PLAN B.
Everyone has the freedom to educate themselves and make a quality decision. Don’t focus on the negative, if you want success!
I’m proud to represent the CREAM OF THE CROP!
Monavie hit a $1 BILLION in sales their first 39 months.
Their products give results!
The only way you will know if they do any good is to consume them!
Everyone does not eat enough fruits and vegetables.
Heart disease, obesity and diseases like diverticulitis, arthritis, appedicitis all are caused due to inflammation. Fruit is the remedy for inflammation and oxidative stress. Monavie’s products address heart health, immune health, joint health, energy, and weight management.
So juice companies are offering a solution. People that are participating in any of these quality companies, such as VEMMA, UNIVERA, XANGO, MONAVIE, JUS, ETC. are like-minded. They realize that we need convenient solutions.
Darrel Utterbach and Mark Ewell brought the ACAI berry to Jeff Graham and Dallin Larsen and before you know it Brig Hart and Tim Wilson are searching on the Internet back in 2004 for a solution for Brig’s back pain and skin cancer. Brig and Lita go out to Utah to meet Dallin and Brig takes some juice back to Florida. He gets relief from his pain. He runs out of the juice and his pain comes back.
Now Brig Hart has written a book. He is touring the country to share his life story and bring hope to people.

Sarah:
I mean no disrespect but I take issue with several of the things you posted and I am going to offer a VERY frank response. As tonality is near impossible to detect in text please know that I am writing this with a calm, respectful tone.
The FACT is that when tested in human blood (not a test tube) by an independent analytical chemistry lab Monavie scored a zero for antioxidant protection. Another independent analysis of Monavie proved that it is virtually devoid of any vitamins or minerals. Monavie has more vitamin c in it then any other nutrient and yet even more independent tests prove that regular grape juice has FIVE times more vitamin C then Monavie.
Yes, everyone needs a plan B. Shouldn’t that plan B involve a company or product that is based in integrity. Monavie is worthless nutritionally. It has zero antioxidant benefit. EVERY company has testimonials and I put very little stock in them.
Monavie has reached a Billion in sales (private company so who really knows)? So what? The Pet Rock created a lot of revenue as well. Did it really bring value to the market place?
I predict that MV will go the way of all the other juice companies before it. The flash is already out of the pan (as recent sales stats indicate).
How in the world can heat treated, chemically preserved juice that is devoid of nutrition be a long term, sustainable venture?
If Brig did indeed heal himself of his ailments with MV it doesn’t change the fact that it is puts any MV rep who tries to sell product using disease claims at great legal risk (as well as MV itself).
RE: Brigg Hart’s earnings
A large portion of what Brig earns is due to Black Diamond U which is a modern day version of the Amway “system” of tapes and trainings. It is a great system and great training just as Amway’s “system” was/is. It doesn’t change the fact that both MV and Amway’s comp plans are heavily loaded on the back end and the big boy and girls at both companies earn a hefty sum of their income from sales that do not come from MV or Amway products.
The independent science continues to show that MV is a classic example of hype and marketing colliding. ZERO antioxidant benefit says it all.
When it comes to antioxidants Mannatech’s AO is by FAR the most superior choice. It is roughly 75% less expensive (for a months worth) then 4 bottles of MV and it has been PROVEN in multiple BLOOD Serum studies to be without equal.
ORAC-FL is a flawed test that measures the fluorescence of a substance. Berries and fruits are very fluorescent. So is anti-freeze!
I have been writing about the misleading marketing of MV for a couple years now:
http://jakesrebelalliance.wordpress.com/2009/11/09/i-am-declaring-war-on-monavie-and-all-the-other-super-juices/
RE: Genewize
Again marketing and hype collide. The idea of nutrients that are customized for an individuals DNA is a very sexy one. Two problems. #1: Some of the ingredients in GeneWize products are synthetic (our DNA is not programmed for synthetic chemicals) #2: Our DNA is already programmed for 100% whole foods.
RE: The Food Pyramid
The Food Pyramid is a failed theory that has greatly increased the obesity rates in the USA
I look forward to your response. I have been hoping to engage a MV rep in a friendly debate for several months now. No takers to this point, including a woman I met who claimed to be a Chemist as well as a MV rep.
Respectfully,
Jake
